As part of your gmail bcacs accounts, you have a Calendar. The link is in the upper left of the inbox page. Clicking on the link opens the Calendar in a new tab or page. Firefox works better with your account.
Some schools are developing school calendars and sharing it with the staff. You should see your Calendars under Calendars on the left hand page under the graphic of this month’s calendar. Make sure there’s a check mark next to the calendars you want to see. Each Calendar has a color. The down arrow next to the calendar allows you to change the color.
On the calendar, today’s date is in tan to make it easy to see. You can choose day, week, month, or 4 days views or a daily agenda.
To add an event to your calendar:
• Click on the day & time you want to add the event.
• A window pops up with that date and time and a What box to enter the event title.
• Under Which Calendar, make sure you pick the appropriate calendar from the drop down menu. You don’t want to add your personal information in a shared calendar, for example.
• Click Create Event or edit event details
• Edit event details brings up a bigger window and lets you change times, put in a location and add a description. It also lets you make it all day or set up a repeating event. You can add a reminder to email yourself or have a window on your computer pop up (computer has to be on and logged into your account). When you’re done, click Save in the upper left of that window.
Each event is a link. To see more about an event, click on the link.
